Poised at the waterfront, Auckland’s premiere commercial tower is seated within the great sparkling abundance of Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour. The sleek glass facade becomes a beacon from the water, while the structure is revealed as a lattice reminiscent of the tukutuku patterns on traditional meeting houses developed by the prominent Maori culture. Downtown had not seen development in over a decade, until 2012 when Precinct Properties decided to begin transformation in the Central Business District. The site presented some prominent features such as sub-grade transportation infrastructure, a corner position, connection to existing retail and the larger business district to the south. It is here that Auckland’s heart will beat once again as the place for commerce and trade, alive and kicking twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The 41-floor tower and retail precinct opened in June of 2020.
